Cable contract dispute may disrupt Summerville programming

A monetary dispute between Time Warner Cable and Sinclair Broadcasting Group may cause some Summerville area customers to lose access to at least one of their network television stations by Friday.

Sinclair Broadcasting wants more money from Time Warner to carry signals from its stations, but Time Warner doesn't want to cough up the loot. To prove that they're not messing around, earlier this year, Summerville customers were cut off from Fox programming for 15 days straight.

If an agreement is not met by the new year, locally, WTAT, the local Fox outlet, and WMMP, the MyNetworkTV affiliate will disappear.
