C of C seeing record number of applications

The College of Charleston is seeing double-digit percentage growth in the number of applications coming in. The college is set to break last year's record-breaking 11,400 applicants.

Don Burkard, associate vice president for enrollment planning, in a press release:
Given the current economic recession, the College of Charleston is particularly appealing to students in-state. Students from the tri-county area realize that at the College you can stay local, yet live global among students from all 50 states and over 70 countries.
