Boeing workers vote on future of union today

Update September 10: The union has been decertified; get the details.

First reporting:

Today is the day that workers at the North Charleston Boeing Corporation plant will vote to decide to either remain part of the union that stalled production at the company's Puget Sound factory or disband.

It is thought that the workers will vote to disband the union today. If that is the case, Boeing may push forward and create a second assembly line for the 787 Dreamliner in Charleston.

The Post and Courier has the story.
