Fishing tackle company Pure Fishing is consolidating and moving its worldwide headquarters to Columbia. The company is looking for an office space to accommodate some 150 professionals, while the bulk of its employees (900) will remain in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The company employees some 1,500 people worldwide.

The reason for the move is somewhat obvious, Columbia is well-situated in the midst of the sport-fishing region. The headquarters will combine operations of Pure Fishing, Shakespeare and Penn.

The company was sold in April of last year and recently named a new CEO. The company is part of Jarden Outdoor Solutions, whose stock has fallen some 50 percent over the last 12 months.
