The town of Mount Pleasant is exploring the option of serving alcohol on the site of the new Farmers Market. Only problem is, the land is owned by the Charleston County School District

The Farmers Market that is held every Tuesday would continue to be a alcohol-free family event. However, some groups have approached the town about renting the market for events on other days of the week and would like to be able to provide alcoholic beverages to guests.

The Post and Courier has the story.
