Just before the height of prom dress shopping season, it was looking like Katie's Closet was going to be forced to close the doors on their Market Common location. Now they will remain open thanks to a last-minute donation.

Getting decked out for prom can cost around $600 for an outfit that really only gets worn once. Katie's Closet is the retail arm of Katie's Project, an organization that helps young women get prom gowns that they would not normally be able to afford by soliciting for dress and monetary donations.
