Hospice of Charleston to Host Public Memorial Service at Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park

Mount Pleasant, SC – Hospice of Charleston will hold its Day to Remember Memorial to offer a special occasion where the local community can come together to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. This free event is open to the public and will be held this Sunday, November 9, at 3 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park located on Harry M. Hallman Jr. Blvd. The event will feature a special flag presentation and wreath dedication to honor deceased veterans.

“We feel incredibly privileged to hold this special event for members of our community who have lost a loved one,” says Shane Bowers, chaplain at Hospice of Charleston. “Our memorial service gives our community an opportunity for us to come together in a special way to honor and celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us.”

The event, which will be held each year the weekend before Veteran’s Day, is open to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Attendees are not required to have any connection with Hospice of Charleston. All are welcome.

Those in attendance will be able to reflect on memories of their loved one and participate in a moment of remembrance in a respectful and comforting atmosphere. Attendees will be presented with a gift to remember the special community event and friend or family member.

Guests are asked to RSVP to Melvina Pringle at (843) 514-8779.
