North Strand Helping Hand has a desire to meet the need

North Strand Helping Hand is a private non-profit organization under Crisis Intervention Service that provides assistance with the essentials of life.

North Strand Helping Hand was established in 1977 as an emergency aid to help meet the needs of the less fortunate around Horry County. They provide assistance with food, prescription drugs, bus tickets, utility bills, used clothing, and furniture. The organization has helped to improve the quality of life for the under-privileged by sponsoring food drives and distribution around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. A Halloween costume exchange has also been sponsored to help families provide costumes for their little ones as well.

Donations are always accepted along with non-perishable food items and canned goods. More information about North Strand can be found at http://www.northstrandhelpinghand.org/ or by calling 843-399-0862.
