Caring in Our Lifetime was started in 1997 to help an employee of Time Warner cable who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Since then, their volunteers have raised more than $300,000 in an effort to help survivors living in Georgetown and Horry counties pay their breast cancer related medical bills.

The organization is entirely volunteer-based, including their Board of Directors.  As a result, they are able to give 95% of their proceeds back to survivors who have battled breast cancer.

Throughout the year, Caring in Our Lifetime hosts several events to raise awareness and charitable contributions.  Their next event is scheduled for Sunday, October 28, 2012.  The Little White Dress Couture for the Cure event will be held at the Dunes Golf and Beach Resort.  You can learn more about this and their previous events here.
