Charleston City Paper went around and rounded up their bunch of favorite sandwiches around town. And they've assembled a tasty bunch for sure: Ted's Butcherblock, Cru Cafe, Glass Onion, Bull Street Gourmet, and Surf Bar all made the list.

A few I'd add to their list are the ones from Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery (which you can get at City Lights coffee, among other places), also Caviar and Bananas, Kennedy's, and the ones at Five Loaves are pretty tasty, too.
