North Charleston farmers market open for the season

Charleston's farmers markets have been opening for the season, and as of today, April 18, the North Charleston Farmers Market is also open.

The market's hours are from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Felix C. Davis Community Center in Park Circle. The market will be open every Thursday until mid-October.

The City of North Charleston's annual Farmers Market includes a number of local farmers and growers selling local produce. Vendors will be on hand offering arts and crafts and other handcrafted goods.

Each week, the City's Cultural Arts Department features a performance or artist to showcase. Today, Professor Bottleneck and Harmonica Frank will perform from 4 6. Next week's market will feature Shrimp City Slim.
