Quarterly foodie publication, "Eat This! Charleston," hits the street

Charleston's newest free publication, Eat This!, is hitting the racks this week in your local food and/or bev hotspot.

The free quarterly magazine aims to cover the culinary scene thoughout the Lowcountry, though the first issue is focused mainly around Mount Pleasant locations.  Inside you'll find chef profiles, reviews, and a discussion of broader topics like farm-to-table and organic wine.  Soon the magazine will drive to the web, where it will be intertwined with a new Groupon-style but restaurant-focused daily deal system.

Future plans include expansion into other markets, but Charleston is the guinea pig.  What's more, the launch party for this puppy is at Crave Kitchen and Cocktails in Mount Plesant next Wednesday, June 29th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The featured event will be the first "food fight" held by Eat This!, in which two local chefs each make the same dish and guests partake in a blind tasting to decide the winner.

Go out and grab yourself a copy, visit their website, or check them out on the Facebook.
