The Charleston City Paper has taken it upon themselves to look back through the 2000s and determine what stands out as the top 10 ten food trends in this glorious town.

Charleston has quickly become a foodie's heaven, and it is important to remember how it all came to be. Superior ingredients, locavorism and fresh ideas are some key components of the culinary boom, but there is much more to it. It most certainly doesn't hurt that the Charleston community has embraced the decade's culinary creativity with open minds and open mouths.
