The Post and Courier has a piece on William L. Churchill, a Union Navy officer, whose historical letters let us look back in time at the first search for the sunken Confederate submarine, the H.L. Hunley.

The set of 27 documents donated to the Military Museum in Columbia date back to the early days of the war up to 1869.

Go check out the story over at The Post and Courier.
