The holidays are quickly approaching and it's time to stock up on presents for friends and loved ones. If you've already done your shopping, kudos to you my friend! For those of you who are still on the hunt for that perfect gift, here's a list of some local spots that offer gifts that keep on giving.

Keep up with the latest in local gift giving on our holiday gifts topic page.DwellSmart

DwellSmart is a Mount Pleasant store on a mission to help protect and improve the health of individuals and the environment.

Breathe Soy Candles, $10-$25, are made by a local woman who happens to be on the police force here in Charleston. Breathe Soy Candles make a terrific hostess gift for those holiday parties coming up and are the gift that continues to give. A discount will be given to those who turn their jars in to be recycled. Green Glass juice glasses are the perfect gift for the eclectic person in your life. These glasses have been recycled from beer bottles and a set of 4 will cost you $32.

SCRAPS is locally made jewelry made from recycled materials from pie tins, milk jugs, magazine beads, and spoons. These necklaces are $25 and have been hammered from spoons and etched with images of a tree or sea turtle.

DwellSmart is located at 615 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard.

This opportunity allows people to invest in local farms and receive crops in return. There are three farms in the area that provide members with a regular share of fresh, seasonal, local vegetables and fruits. Community supported agriculture supports healthy eating habits and provides fruit and vegetables for up to 12 weeks.

Rosebank Farms is one of the last working family farms on Johns Island. To learn more about their CSA program, click here.
Thornhill Farms' 2010 CSA registration is open, and they're busy planting and preparing to deliver farm fresh certified organic vegetables to you in six week of full year sessions.

Ambrose Family Farm is the go to CSA for downtown Charleston residents. They're currently accepting applications for the Spring 2010 Season. Sign up now.

Blue Bicycle Books

Blue Bicycle Books is downtown Charleston's only used book store. A great store with a very friendly staff, there is a nice range of literature to get lost in. The location is fabulous and the store has a network of rooms to explore.

Giving a used book not only recirculates a wonderful story back into a new home, it also provides entertainment, education and lasting memories. Check out Blue Bicycle Books at 420 King Street for some quality holiday shopping.

Seeking Indigo

Seeking Indigo is one of King Street's new kids on the block. The boutique and wellness center brings uplifting lifestyle and holistic wellness through the collaboration of like-minded partners promoting consciousness, artful living, and well-being.

The Seeking Indigo Wellness Center offers revolutionary and comprehensive anti-aging and preventative medicine, transformational hypnotherapy, biofeedback, ayurvedic treatments, and detox therapies.

Treat someone to a session in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, far infrared sauna, a relaxing massage or choose a combination package aimed at pampering and rejuvenation.

Seeking Indigo is located at 445 King Street.

Presents From Punks Art Show and Charity Event

Support the local art scene at the second annual Presents From Punks art show presented by Bad Jon and SHT! Fantastic art will be sold at no more than $50 per piece, and 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to buy food and toys for the less fortunate this Christmas.

Over 50 artists are already on board for the show, so you're guaranteed to find art that will be a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Last year, the event raised $2,000 and was a smashing success.

Presents From Punks is set to take place on December 19th from 8 to 1 a.m. at Mellow Mushroom's downtown location.

Check back with us next Thursday for the second installment of TheDigite's holiday gift guide. Until then, happy shopping!
