The Post and Courier has a piece on an eight-foot, early 19th century ship's anchor that is going to be put in the state's Anchor Farm, part of the Cooper River Heritage Trail.

What is the Cooper River Heritage Trail? I'm so glad you asked.

This little known trail is a collection of underwater historical sites marked by buoys, guidelines and underwater plaques. Along the trail you'll find the anchor farm, a shipwreck, a former plantation wharf, a ferry landing, and a 19th century barge among other interesting artifacts.

Hop over to the article in The Post and Courier and get familiar with this historical attraction that has been growing right under our noses.
