'Tis the season: Christmas Tree lightings along the Grand Strand

Update 12/3: We have one more tree lighting to add that is today, December 3rd down in Murrells Inlet at the Inlet Sports Lodge.

The announcement of the event came to us via a Press Release:

Inlet Sports Lodge, the Low Country’s premier sporting lodge, announced today that the Lodge will host an Annual Tree Lighting event on Saturday, December 3. This event is open to Lodge guests and the public. 

Get into the holiday spirit at the Inlet Sports Lodge tree lighting event on Saturday, December 3 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The festive party will feature Christmas carolers, hot cocoa and seasonal treats and the lighting of the tree. Lodge packages for the weekend are available. 

“We are looking forward to the holiday festivities here at Inlet Sports Lodge this year,” said Michelle Sutton, director of sales and marketing for Inlet Sports Lodge. “Our tree lighting event is a great opportunity for the community to visit us and get into the holiday spirit.”

First Report 11/8: When it comes to public Christmas Trees the Myrtle Beach area has plenty on display and the first tree lighting kicks off next Friday, November 18th at Barefoot Landing followed the next day by Broadway at the Beach. 

Santa should be in tow for all the tree lighting ceremonies across the Strand.  Here is a breakdown of the dates and times of the lightings:

  • North Myrtle Beach
    Barefoot Landing: November 18th.
  • Myrtle Beach
    Broadway at the Beach: November 19th.
    The Market Common: November 25th.
  • Murrells Inlet 
    Morse Landing Park: December 4th.
  • Surfside Beach
    Surfside Town Hall: December 10th.
