Also, the night's game will honor Tony the Peanut Man, from the RiverDogs press release:
CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston RiverDogs will recognize one of Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park’s icons during Friday night’s baseball game against the Savannah Sand Gnats.

Anthony Wright, who is known around the Holy City as “Tony the Peanut Man,” has been a fixture at Riley Park since its opening selling his roasted and boiled peanuts. At the RiverDogs game Friday, Tony will have a signing for his new comic book.

Additionally, he will be honored by tossing a ceremonial first pitch and he will also throw out free bags of peanuts from the top of a dugout in between an inning or two. Further, he will hand out samples of his boiled peanuts to fans as they leave the park following another Friday Night Fireworks display.

Known for his topless straw hat and singing about his peanuts in a unique style, the native Charlestonian has a comic book coming out Friday. Written by Charlestonian Steve Hoffius and drawn by John Proctor of Savannah, the comic book is about a peanut superhero.
