2012 election: Charleston voting results, coverage

Well, this is it, the big day across the nation, South Carolina, and the Charleston metro area.

If you're still not sure on how to vote today check out the handy FAQ and know that you can confirm your precinct location here.

Results won't start coming in until at least 7 p.m. when the polls begin to close and you'll be able to follow those counts at  South Carolina's official vote tally website, and here for county-level results. Also, S.C. ETV will be doing a live results webcast starting at 7 p.m.

As for national results, I suggest you check out The New York Times' centerpiece graphics on the homepage, they usually have some of the better online graphic presentations.

If you're voting today, know that there are several local spots offering up deals for those with "I Voted" stickers.

Coverage

There's no time like real-time: for the very latest we're embracing the local Twitter hashtag. Pulled in below are tweets with "#chsvote" in them, this year's tag for local coverage. We'll also be scrubbing Twitter for a few other minor tags to be sure this list is comprehensive.

Running along side are all the tweets from select local persons and media outlets — all those may not be on topic, but you'll likely find a few nuggets that aren't tagged.

Get your tweet here by including #chsvote in it; updates in every 20 seconds.
