Touted as 'Charleston's only neighborhood butcher shop and gourmet market', Ted's Butcherblock is teaming up with local non-profit outfit, Lowcountry Local First, to throw their 'Locals First Block Party' on March 7 from noon until 6 p.m..

As the name implies, this shindig will be thrown as a nod to all the local businesses who have contributed to the cultural and economic enrichment of the Holy City.

In a recent press release, they promise a good time for all those who plan to attend:
Event features include live local music, craft beer on tap, rotisserie lamb from the SC Upstate Farmers Alliance, wine tastings, local pasta from Rio Bertolini, and an artisan chocolate tasting from local Sweet Teeth Confections.

The cost to attend this party is $25 and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Lowcountry Local First’s Sustainable Agriculture Initiative.

Ted's is at 334 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston. (843) 577-0094.
