Update: Gamecocks fall in first-round of CWS, Clemson knocks out Arizona State

Update June 21:

The Clemson Tigers took out No. 1 ranked Arizona State 6-3 today in the first round of the College World Series.

Clemson advances to a winners’ bracket game against Oklahoma on Tuesday.

The South Carolina baseball team was dealt a 4-3 loss by Oklahoma in their first-round game in the College World Series.

The Gamecocks dropped their opener for the seventh consecutive time at Rosenblatt Stadium - they haven’t won in the opening round since a victory over Baylor in the 1977. USC falls into the losers bracket and will play the loser of today's game between Clemson and Arizona State.

Due to inclement weather, the game between Clemson and Arizona State was moved from Sunday to this morning at 11 a.m. and can be viewed on ESPNU.
