Register now for the 6th Annual Green and Lean 5K Run/Walk

The 6th Annual Green and Lean 5K, hosted by Friends of Keep Charleston Beautiful and Keep Charleston Beautiful is taking it to the streets once again on June 4th.

The goal of the run is to raise funds for environmental education programs within the city of Charleston and neighboring communities. 

The 5K Run will begin at 8 a.m. on June 4th, with packet pick-up and late registration beginning at 7 a.m. This USA TF certified 5K Run begins at Brittlebank Park, passes by The Citadel campus, circles Hampton Park, and concludes at Brittlebank Park.  Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome. 

The three top male and top female overall finishers in the 5K Run will receive awards.  Age group medals will be given to the top 3 runners for both males and females. The first stroller to cross the finish line will receive an award for the child, and the first leashed dog to cross the finish line will also receive an award. 

Clara’s Tot Trot, a 50-yard dash, will be held at 9:00 a.m. for children between the ages of 2 and 5. Each child participating in the Tot Trot will receive a t-shirt, ribbon and race bib.   

Anticipated registration is pegged at over 200 runners and walkers from around the tri-county region. Go ahead and register today.
