Mixson, a Jamestown property, invites disc golfers and Frisbee lovers of all ages to “throw the distance” next Saturday, July 30th, as the blossoming sustainable urban community hosts its first-ever Disc Golf Skills Competition from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The competition will be held at the Barn at Mixson, the property’s open-air event space offering a covered gathering place for friends, families, and pets alike to enjoy the day’s festivities. From a long distance throw challenge to a partnered trick competition and hole-in-one main event, golfers will battle it out on Mixson’s great lawn in a fun-spirited Frisbee extravaganza.

Several of Charleston’s popular food trucks will be on-site to provide tasty bites for the crowd, and the afternoon will also feature a grand prize skill shot portable target as well as other giveaways and live music for all to enjoy.
