The perfect way to start a Saturday at the beach, join Special Olympics for the SOAR on Folly 5K presented by SAIC on July 9th.

Runners, walkers, supporters and athletes are invited to take to the course together to run or walk 3.2 miles on the hard sands of Folly Beach. A family-friendly event, celebrate the Special Olympics community as athletes run and walk beside you or cheer you on near the finish line.

SOAR on Folly will begin at 8 a.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and the recitation of the Special Olympics Athlete Oath. Awards will be given to male and female runners in their age brackets as well as overall. Stay after the event for a day on the beach or join us at Loggerhead’s Grill for discounted brunch and beverages. Please note, parking is limited, carpooling is recommended. Folly Beach parking fees apply.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics South Carolina.

All athletes, supports, runners and walkers are invited to participate. Registration fees are $25 per adult and and $15 for kids 11 and under.
