ESPN Radio 100.3 to take part in festivities at Gamecock fan fest on Monday May, 7

Myrtle Beach’s local ESPN Radio affiliate, 100.3 The Team,  will bring Gamecock fan fest to the air waves talking with all of USC athletics most popular coaches and broadcasting live on location at the Ripken Experience on Monday.

This Monday, Gamecock fans can enjoy Gamecock fan fest at the Ripken Experience in Myrte Beach. Coach Steve Spurrier, along with current athletes from the area, cheerleaders, and Cocky will be on hand for autographs and to speak to the fans. Photo opportunities will be available with football and baseball team championship trophies.

ESPN Radio 100.3 ‘The Team’and its signature local afternoon show, “The Drive” with Aaron Marks will take part in the festivities and bring Gamecock fan fest to the air waves. Marks and his staff including studio producer, Matt Parris, and a couple of the CCU interns will be on location doing the show live from the Ripken Experience at fan fest on Monday May, 7. 

In addition to taking part in all of the festivities, the local ESPN affiliate will bring fan fest to the air waves. The station has confirmed that new head basketball coach, Frank Martin, will join the show for the first time at 4:30 on Monday. Requests have been sent out for head baseball coach, Ray Tanner, and head football coach, Steve Spurrier.

USC Football and Basketball are heard locally on Cumulus owned Sunny 103.1, and Gamecock Baseball airs the majority of its games on FOX Sports 1050, but some games can now be heard on ESPN Radio 100.3. All stations are part of the local Cumulus Media cluster.

“Since our group of stations is the local affiliate for the Gamecock Radio Network we are thrilled to take part in the festivities on Monday,” said Marks, who in addition to hosting the afternoon show also serves as Sports Director for Cumulus Media, “the Horry County Gamecock club has been outstanding in assisting us, along with the folks in Columbia. We’re excited to come out and bring a great show to the listeners.”

Marks also says about half of the show content for Monday’s program will be Gamecock driven.

“We’ll talk about the new direction the basketball program is headed, discuss where the baseball team currently stands in their pursuit of a 3rd consecutive national title, and give an early season preview of the football team,” said Marks.

ESPN Radio 100.3 will be giving away free tickets to Gamecock fan fest on Thursday and Friday this week over the air. Listeners can tune in on the dial at 100.3 locally, and can listen anywhere they like online at www.teammyrtlebeach.com
