Update July 15: The Charleston Battery fought back to a 2-1 win over the Wilmington Hammerheads on Thursday night with help from both Brandon Massie and Dane Kelly's goals as time crept off of the clock.

The win lifts the Battery's record to 9-6-4 on the season as they head into a Saturday evening road game against the Dayton Dutch Lions.

The Battery's official page has the full match report.

First reporting: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., the Charleston Battery will face the USL PRO American Division Wilmington Hammerheads at Blackbaud Stadium.

The Battery (8-6-4) defeated the first-place Orlando City Lions 1-0 last Saturday night and enters Thursday’s match in third place, just one point ahead of the Hammerheads (8-4-3). Charleston and Wilmington have played twice already this season and have split the wins at 1 to 1.

For additional background on the rivalry, check out this pre-game post on the Battery's official website.

As some added incentive to check out tonight's game, let me remind you that it is also Thirsty Thursday. Fans can enjoy $2 Miller Lite drafts all evening along. Yum yum.
