Catch some ice hockey, throw some teddy bears

Tis the season for giving and for ice hockey.

On Saturday, December 4th during the Stingrays' game versus the Greenville Road Warriors, fans are encouraged to participate in the 12th Annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Bring a new or gently used stuffed animal to throw on the ice after the Stingrays score their first goal. Last season, Stingrays fans tossed over 1,300 stuff animals on the ice, so do your part in making this year even bigger and better than the last.

So, where are all of these tossed teddys going? They're going directly to Debi's Kids.

Game time on Saturday is at 7:05 p.m. and tickets are on sale now.

That is such a really nice

That is such a really nice gesture, of course we should all bring a stuffed toy, those kids need all the toy they can get. It's even nicer to see that this is happening at a hockey event, was this a rookie hockey league ma? Nevertheless the message these players sent is priceless and let's hope we'll see it happening in other sports as well and why not, in other forms.
