Meeting to tie into North Charleston 'gay lifestyle' remark

If you'll recall, there's been a bit of flack about North Charleston Mayor Kieth Summey's remark that while he's happy to be the grand martial at the gay pride event on May 15, he's still not "supportive of their lifestyle."

Well that didn't sit well with those who say that the term "lifestyle" implies a choice between living a straight or gay life.

And the desire to clarify that remark is being carried over to an upcoming meeting of the S.C. Alliance For Full Acceptance on Thursday, March 11. That's when author Dean Hamer (discoverer of the "gay gene") speaks.

Here's details from an e-mailed release:

And if your [sic] not sure, meet Dean Hamer, one of America's leading research scientists and popular science authors.
