North Charleston sidewalk dining debate continues (updated)

Update, August 10, 9 p.m.: The Post and Courier reports the measure passed; go read about it.

Now it goes to the city council for a first reading on Thursday, August 13th.

First reporting:

Tonight at 6 p.m. North Charleston's Planning Commission will take up the proposed ordinance that will allow outside, cafe-style sidewalk dining with alcohol sales covering the Olde Village business district.

The meeting will be held at North Charleston's City Hall at 4900 Lacross Road.
