If you've ever thought Colonial Lake and nearby Moultrie Playground could use some sprucing up, now's your moment. The City of Charleston, The Charleston Parks Conservancy, and Design Works Landscape Architecture are holding a public event to get the public's thought on plans about how the park should be shaped ... and they're holding the event at the park, so you can have some fun while you're helping out.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Hop on over to the Charleston Parks Conservancy for more information, or the Charleston Regional Business Journal for more info on what this event is all about.

The event is spearheaded by the The Charleston Parks Conservancy, a group that was founded to help the metro area's citizen take better control of their public spaces.

So bring the family or friends for some fun and to learn more about the Parks Conservancy and what they've got up their sleeve for a park near you.

We're thrilled to see them working away.
