What do you want at the new Sports Tourism & General Recreation Park?

Residents have weighed-in on what will become of the new North Myrtle Beach Sports Tourism & General Recreation Park and the city continues to accept new ideas.  Do you have something you'd like to see?

The park is located west of the Intercoastal Waterway and encompasses 150 acres.  There are some plans for features typical to other recreational areas in the Grand Strand, such as a dog park, playgrounds, baseball fields, and concessions.  There are other suggestions, however, that are pretty unique.  They include an ice rink, drive-in movie theater, zip line and horseback riding facility.

Do you have a great idea for what should be included?  A second public meeting is being held on Monday, October 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the North Myrtle Beach City Hall located at 1018 Second Ave. S. in North Myrtle Beach.
