Longs Fall Festival to benefit North Strand Housing Shelter

The First Annual Longs Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Waterbrooke Plaza on Highway 9 in Longs. 

The festival is a fundraising event to benefit the efforts of North Strand Housing Shelter also located on Highway 57.  The shelter is a twelve bed facility which acts as a safe-haven to those in need of a temporary home and just recently opened it's newly remodeled accommodations in 2010. 

The festival will consist of:  live music, a magic show, puppet shows, petting zoo, camel and pony rides, kids activities, Chinese auction, door prizes, BBQ pork plate, hot dogs, and italian ice.  This event is free and open to the public with tickets being sold for food, games, and kids' activities.
