Cooler weather to stick around Charleston for the weekend
Image by TheDigitel Cold weather makes for a great time at coffee shops. City Lights on Market is seen here.
On Thursday the temperature climbed up to 91, but today is going to be a far different story, as will much of the weekend.
A strong cold front is pushing through and will build through the weekend and with that big shift making exact predictions will be tricky but forecasters are giving a good chance of rain and thick clouds throughout the weekend where they don't expect the hight to escape a brisk 75 and lows are slated to hit around 63.
By Monday the cycle is expected to break and temperatures ease up to near 90 on Wednesday — but don't get too settled in as there's a good chance of a repeat performance next weekend.
There's oodles more details over at the National Weather Service forecast.
