Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. will celebrate the opening of two new King Street businesses, Reinert LePrince Fine Art and Salt & Seaweed, during ribbon-cutting ceremonies tomorrow, May 6th, starting at 5 p.m.

Reinert LePrince Fine Art (179 King Street) will punctuate its ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. with artist Rick Reinert presenting a piece to Mayor Riley specifically for the celebration. The Woodlands will whip up some tasty hors d'oeuvres for all attendees to enjoy. The art-gallery-slash-studio serves two artists: Reinert and Kevin LePrince. Sure, Charleston has tons of art galleries...but I, for one, am always happy (and eager) to see another one come on the scene.

Salt & Seaweed (155 Market Street) will celebrate their grand opening at approximately 5:30 p.m. The women's fashion boutique was founded by Jesse Nersesian and carries styles that combine the lifestyles of beach and city that are found here in Charleston. Those in attendance for the celebration will enjoy beverages and light hors d'oeuvres.
