Ten years after its raising, mystery still surrounds the H.L. Hunley (updated with video)

Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the raising of the H.L. Hunley, the first hand cranked submarine in history to sink an enemy warship.
Today at 10 a.m., scientists held a news conference to announce a major step in the conservation of one of history's mysteries. The Hunley will soon be repositioned to expose the right side of the submarine, revealing a perspective of the Hunley not seen since 1864.
What's so curious about the historic vessel is the fact It is still unknown just why she sank.
The Post and Courier has the wire release as well as a video of the upcoming rotation of the Hunley to complete the restoration process.
The H.L. Hunley is on display at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center on the former Charleston Navy Yard. Guided tours of the conservation laboratory that houses the Hunley are available on the weekends.
