It's sure is pretty. Unless you're in a hurry!

The Socastee Heritage Foundation is having a big party to commemorate it's 300th birthday. They hope the proceeds from the event will help build a more accessible playground for special needs kids at Socastee Elementary School.

The Socastee Heritage Festival will take over Dick Pond Road starting at 10am on Saturday, April 30th. There will be standard festival fare such as live music, contests, vendors, and all the deep fried food you can handle.
