The Charleston Beer Exchange crew is amping up their regular Rare Beer Tuesday this week. On August 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., two members of the Smuttynose Brewing Big Beer Series will be on tap, not only for growler fills, but for a free tasting.

"The first is called Homunculus (86, 88), a very hoppy, Belgian-style Golden Ale (think Belgian IPA) coming in at over 9% ABV; awesome stuff! The second is the annual release of their highly acclaimed Wheat Wine Ale (86, 96). Sitting near the 11% ABV mark, this big, rich and voluptuous beer maintains surprising drinkability thanks in part to the crispness of the wheat malt and herbaceous hops. Both will be available for free samples and for growler fill purchases (in all 3 sizes). While supplies last, you'll receive a Smuttynose Brewing glass for free with any growler fill purchase of these two beers!"
