Sierra Club hosting oyster roast fundraiser

This Sunday, February 22, from 2-5 p.m. the Sierra Club is hosting an oyster roast and auction at Bowen's Island Restaurant off of Folly Road.

Oyster season is expiring soon for the year, so you should head out to Bowen's Island to support this century old organization that has worked to protect and conserve our beautiful outdoors and wildlife.

Here is their mission:
To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students, and $5 for children. The price includes: oysters, chili (veg and not), hot dogs (and not dogs), and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Palmetto beer is available with a $2 donation.
