New Year, New Beer: Ted's Butcherblock hosts first beer dinner of 2011

Ted’s Butcherblock is hosting their first beer dinner of the year on Thursday, January 27th at 7:15 p.m.

This month’s craft beer dinner, 'New Year, New Beer,' features several beers that are new to the Charleston market. The cost is $38 per person and reservations are required.

Here's the menu for the evening:

First Course:

Star Anise & Juniper House-Cure Gravlax, Local Radish Salad with Sumac, Grapes and Chervil, Curried Crème Fraiche and Homemade Naan Bread -- Paired with Bohemian Brewery Czech Pilsner

Second Course:

Duck Confit L’Orange Hash, Ginger & Szechuan Peppercorn Flapjacks, Almond Bacon Brittle and Apple Butter -- Paired with Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. Cerberus Belgian Style Trippel Ale

Third Course:

Samosas with Kurobuta Pork, Rasel-Hanout, Cherries and Pine Nuts, Braised Moroccan Kale and Meyer Lemon Lentil & Coriander Salad -- Paired with French Broad Brewing Co. Wee-Heavy-Er Scotch Ale

Dessert:

Spice Peanut Butter Mousse and Chocolate Torte with Caramelized Bananas and Espresso Butterscotch -- Paired with Southern Tier Imperial Choklat Stout
