On December 1st, Trattoria Lucca will celebrate Southern cuisine as the acclaimed Tuscan restaurant presents a special dinner with five-time James Beard award nominee and “Top Chef” judge, Hugh Acheson.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Lucca chef-owner Ken Vedrinski will host a four-course dinner with Acheson. Vedrinski will prepare two dishes showcasing his signature Tuscan cuisine while Acheson’s two courses – Frogmore stew and a pecan and pear flip cake – will come from recipes in his book. The dinner plus wine pairings is $75, not including tax or gratuity.

“We’re thrilled to have Hugh cook with us at Lucca,” said chef Vedrinski. “His new cookbook is an instant classic, and already graces the shelves of our larder.”

A pre-dinner reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. will be held at Enoteca, Lucca’s sister wine and cheese bar, where Heirloom Book Company will sell copies of the book and Acheson will be on hand to sign them.

For reservations, please call Trattoria Lucca at (843) 973-3323.
