The Glass Onion will offer up a tasting menu to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14, from 6 to 10 p.m.

This West Ashley restaurant, located at 1219 Savannah Highway, will be open for reservations only and will have live jazz as a backdrop to the feast. The four course dinner will feature classic sumptuous offerings with a local slant, such as Carolina Cup oysters on the half shell, Carolina grassfed beef carpaccio and pan roasted Atlantic fish. There will be a choice between two options per course, and the four course dinner will cost $35 per guest.

Since Valentine's falls on a Monday, the Glass Onion will uphold their usual Monday tradition of 1/2 priced bottles of wine, and they will be featuring Duval LeRoy, a true French Champagne, as their suggested pairing with the meal at $30 per bottle.

The owners encourage those interested to reserve their spots early as there will be limited seating. The full menu is posted on their website. The restaurant will end their lunch service at 4 p.m. that day to prepare for the dinner.

The Glass Onion places utmost importance on supporting area farmers and fisherman and will provide information about their purveyors at the dinner.
