Local bands and restaurants come together to celebrate this 201-year-old German festival the Myrtle Beach way on October 8th.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,” and Oktoberfest never fails to remind us of the truth of this statement.

Myrtle Beach has a keg full of attractions planned for the beer-centered celebration, including live music and a bratwurst-eating contest. The alcohol-free kid’s zone with inflatables and street-performers ensures the whole family can enjoy themselves.

The party starts on Saturday, October 8th at noon and runs until 11:00 p.m.  Admission is free.

Ocean Blvd. will be closed to motorists from 8th Avenue N, to Mr. Joe White Avenue for your beer and bratwurst pleasure.  For more information about the Downtown Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest check out their website here.
