The first of what 17 North plans to make an annual beer fest will be held on April 1st, but it's no April Fool's joke.
The breweries are 100% South Carolinian, with local stalwarts Palmetto, Westbrook, and Holy City joining forces with Myrtle Beach's New South Brewing, brand new Bluffton outfit Heirloom Brewing, and even some wares from everyone's favorite foamy facial hair gang.
A $20 beer pass will get you 8 five-ounce samples, and a sampling glass you can take home. $10 gets you a pass through the 17 North's BBQ Buffet. An advance ticket for $25 will get you both. Live music will be rocking all day, part of the proceeds will benefit East Cooper Community Outreach and Pet Helpers.

Update March 27: Living Social is offing up a 50% off special on two tickets to the Lowcountry Beer Festival on April 1st.
The deal, which kicked off today, touts two barbecue dinners, 16 beer-sample tickets and two souvenir pint glasses for just $37.
