The Surfrider Foundation is hosting an oyster roast Sunday, February 15 at the Bowen's Island Restaurant where all of the proceeds will benefit their Anti-Plastics Campaign.

This non-profit organization aspires to conserve and protect Charleston's beaches and wildlife, and through their latest venture -- that's the Anti-Plastics Campaign -- they are attempting to reduce plastic bag use in the Charleston area.

The tickets to this event are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Las Olas, Mellow Mushroom, Folly Brewing Co., Ocean Surf Shop, Air, Charleston Watersports, and Half Moon Outfitters.

So, head over to Bowen's Island Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. where you can enjoy oysters, beer, and the mellow sounds of Moonlight Ale and Toasted Beats.

Thanks to the Charleston City Paper for tipping us off.
