May 12 is Free Flavor Day
Come in for a FREE scoop of any Bee-Built ice cream flavor at participating Haagen-Dazs Shops between 4-8 pm.

What is a "Bee-Built ice cream," you ask? It's any flavor of ice cream flavored with an ingredient that is reliant on bees for pollination.

Bees pollinate ingredients essential to more than half of Haagen-Dazs ice cream's flavors. And so the company hasn't taken the plight of bees lightly, namely Colony Collapse Disorder.

And so the company is giving away a free scoop on Tuesday, May 12, and has launched Help the Honey Bees, a quirky campaign designed to raise awareness and support.

Charleston has one Haagen-Dazs location, it's at 43 South Market Street in downtown Charleston. (843) 723-9326.
