Overstood to play 'farewell' show

Local band, Overstood, will play their 'farewell' show this at Saturday, January 24 10 p.m. at the Windjammer on Isle of Palms.

The Thompson brothers: Charlie, Cortie, and Matty, who partly comprise the band, are excited about the show, sad about their breakup, but excited about their future endeavors. Their former drummer, Evan Bivins, will make his way down from Chicago to jam one last time with his old band buddies.

Here's some background on Overstood from the Charleston City Paper:
Overstood stayed busy on the local scene over the last three years, usually with a set of melodic, guitar-driven original songs and funky reworkings of reggae, soul, and classic rock favorites. Their tunes were groovy enough to please jam band scenesters, yet the band was comfortable with the Eagles/Paul Simon side of pop songwriting as well.

So, come out to the Windjammer this Saturday to help these boys celebrate three years of good times with Charleston music lovers.
