Ready for some new music to rock out to? The Makeshift and Slanguage featuring local talented vocalist Elise Testone are scheduled to perform at Eye Level Art on February 5th, at 8 p.m. at the 103 Gallery on Spring St.

This gifted group of young musicians delivers an unusual and eccentric sound by fusing funk, soul and rock that will truly entertain your ears.  Elise Testone, 23, is becoming a local sensation with her jazz standards and her own renditions of modern songs.  Testone has opened for Nappy Roots and the Kevin Costner band in the past. A previous review has said that the “heartfelt emphasis she puts into every note, jumping effortlessly between octaves, truly makes every word her own.”

This show is a great way to discover some cool new music and support local artists.

Tickets are $5 for patrons 21 years of age and older, and $10 for those under 21. All tickets are $5 in advance for all ages. The show will be free for members. Tickets are available for purchase at Eye Level Art’s 103 Gallery Monday through Friday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
