Ian Guerin hopes to help Joplin victims by raising money this week at Tavern in the Forest as part of his regular DJ and karaoke show on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights starting around 9 p.m.

As a Mizzou alum and Kansas City native, Guerin has strong ties to Joplin and surrounding areas. He felt compelled to help those that have been devistated by the recent deadly tornadoes. He is asking for donations to the Red Cross this week and he will be posting rolling updates on the donation amount via his Twitter and Facebook pages. All you have to do is show up to Tavern in the Forest ready to party and stick a little something extra in the donations jar. He also mentioned that there's a t-shirt you can buy that also benefits the United Way of Joplin. Get one here.
