Grand Strand hip-hop has experienced a rebirth in the past year or so and there's no doubt Phil "Dj Qp" Jackson is one of the main catalysts behind it.

His Hip-Hop Live series of shows have been gaining noteriety as one of the best ways to catch the upcoming local talent. The next event takes place at Island Bar and Grill in Surfside on Friday, January 20 at 9 p.m. and the $10 ticket includes access to the free pour. Under 21 tickets are $5
