High school step show party at C of C

"The Brown Derby Blender" --a high school step show -- is  coming to the College of Charleston on Friday, April 24. It starts at 7p.m.

Here's a bit about the event from their Web site:

The theme of this show, “Excellence through Competitive Eloquence”, aims to attract the finest and most enthusiastic high school steppers in South Carolina while promoting the value of education and the importance of academic prowess.

The Brown Derby Haberdashery aims to create a competitive platform where the value of education, hard work, and academic excellence will be highlighted by the participation of the motivated youth of this state. The ultimate goal is to open post secondary education, specifically going to a college or university, as a viable option after graduation from high school.

Tickets for this event were made available through BrownPaperTickets.com and through participating high schools for an advance price of $10. The price jumps to $15 the night of the show. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show will start at 7:00pm.. Music for this event will be provided by The Spaced Invaders. Addition sponsorships provided by VIII EAST Graphics, The Spaced Invaders, and Suite Sole sneaker boutique.

The event is being put on by the Brown Derby Haberdashery at  the P. George Benson Physician’s Auditorium at 66 George Street.
